Conversion rate optimisation
Make the next step easier to take.
If visitors hesitate, it helps to understand where and why. We review the journey and prioritise changes that may reduce friction.
- Review before recommendations
- Tests only where traffic allows
- Agreed changes implemented in scope
You are probably here because
Does this sound like your week?
- Traffic grew but orders did not.
- Mobile converts at less than half of desktop.
- People add to cart and leave at shipping.
- Your ads promise one thing and the page says another.
- Nobody has watched a real customer use the store.
What we actually do
What do we actually do?
01
Research
Page and funnel review using the analytics available, plus product information, navigation and mobile usability checks.
02
Prioritised backlog
Recommendations prioritised by likely impact, confidence and effort.
03
Testing
A/B tests where traffic, measurement and the decision justify them, planned before launch.
04
Ship the winners
Agreed changes implemented in the theme or site, where implementation is in scope.

Measurement and KPIs
What do we report, and how often?
- Revenue per visitor, where the data allows, because conversion rate alone can hide smaller orders
- Conversion rate by device and traffic source
- Add-to-cart and checkout completion rates
- Average order value
Examples
Can we show you how this would work for you?
Client examples will be published when approved for sharing. In a free preliminary diagnosis we look at your business, marketing and website and explain where we would start.
When this is not the answer
When should you not buy this?
- Traffic is too low for a reliable test. A research-led list of fixes may be more practical.
- The store is fundamentally slow or broken: rebuild first, then test.
- You want a guaranteed uplift: honest testing includes tests that lose.

FAQ
What do buyers ask about conversion rate optimisation?
What is conversion rate optimisation?
It is reviewing where and why visitors hesitate, then prioritising changes to pages, information and checkout that may reduce friction. A design change is not automatically a measured improvement.
What is a good conversion rate for an e-commerce store?
It varies widely by category, price, device and traffic source, so we compare a store with its own history rather than a single benchmark.
How much does CRO cost?
The fee is set by the agreed scope after a free preliminary diagnosis. Advertising spend is paid directly to the platforms, and third-party costs are listed separately in the proposal.
Can we run an A/B test?
It depends on traffic, measurement and the decision you need to make. Where testing is impractical, we explain the limits of a qualitative recommendation.
How long does a CRO test take?
Until it reaches the sample planned before launch, which depends on traffic. Stopping early is a common way tests give misleading results.
What do you test first?
Whatever the review suggests matters most. Common candidates are mobile product pages, delivery costs shown late, or a mismatch between the ad and the landing page.
Will CRO slow our store down?
Testing scripts can add weight, so we keep them lean and build agreed changes into the theme so the testing tool can be removed.
Do you review enquiry websites too?
The same review method applies to sign-up and enquiry flows, judged on qualified enquiries rather than raw form fills.
